Ben Perry, PGA
General Manager / Head Golf Professional
Ben realized his passion for golf at an early age. He was introduced to the game by his grandfather, who was an avid golfer. He played four years of high school golf at Lee’s Summit North High School. After graduating from LSN in 2004, he went on to play collegiate golf for Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO. While attending MSSU, Ben broke the university’s lowest round record during the Kansas City Intercollegiate in 2008 with a score of 66 (-6). After graduating from MSSU in 2009 with a Bachelors in Mathematics, Ben’s love for the game steered him towards the golf business. Ben eventually accepted a position at Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs, MO as Assistant Golf Professional. While employed at Adams Pointe, Ben completed the PGA Professional Golf Management Program and received his Class A Certification. He was elected into PGA Membership in 2013. In 2017, Ben was recognized as the Midwest Section PGA's Merchandiser of the Year. You can find Ben assisting with the day-to-day operations at Sycamore Ridge, teaching golf lessons or working behind the golf shop counter.

Clayton grew up in Gustine, California and now resides in Ottawa, Kansas. He picked up the game of golf in High School from his grandpa and has been playing ever since. He attended Bethany College (KS) on a baseball scholarship and majored in Exercise Science. Currently, Clayton is working towards his PGA Class A Certification and raises Angus Cattle with his family in Ottawa. You can find Clayton assisting with the day-to-day golf operations, teaching golf lessons and working behind the golf shop counter.

Brooke grew up in Westwood, Kansas then attended KU and UMKC to earn a paralegal degree. She worked on and off in the restaurant business for over 10 years then was a stay at home mom for 7 years. After realizing the fast paced environment and people of the food/beverage industry were her passion, she decided to go back to work. Brooke worked at several golf courses before finding her home at Sycamore Ridge Golf Club in 2017. She has two girls that are 10 and 13 years old that are into competitive swimming and enjoying the lake.
Outside Services Manager
Steve grew up in Emporia, KS where he began playing golf as a teenager. He played mostly with his father on a nine hole course with sand greens and has been hooked on the game of golf ever since. He re-located to the Kansas City area in 1976 and eventually became a Spring Hill resident in 1981. After a thirty-nine year career as a service technician with Sears, he is now living his dream of working and playing golf at Sycamore Ridge.
Paul Davids, CGCS
Golf Course Superintendent
Paul became a certified golf course superintendent in 2002, receiving his certification from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He has been a member of the association since 1995 and has served on the board of directors of the Heart of America Golf Course Superintendents Association.
Paul’s experience dates back to 1993 when he began serving as assistant superintendent at Alvamar Country Club and Alvamar Public Golf Club in Lawrence, Kansas. In 1996, he moved on and up, becoming golf course superintendent at Cedarbrook Golf Club in Iola, Kansas, and Safari Golf course in Chanute, Kansas.
Between 1999 and 2004, he served as golf course superintendent at Colbert Hills Golf Club in Manhattan, Kansas. The club is a PGA Tour Collegiate licensed facility and home of the National First Tee Academy. During his tenure, he helped host the 2003 NCAA Men’s Central Regional Golf Championship and the Ladies 2002 Big 12 Conference Championship.
From 2004 until 2007, Paul was golf course superintendent for Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio. He became golf course superintendent at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course in 2007 and puts all his experience and expertise to work helping to make Sycamore Ridge the best golf course in the Kansas City area.
