Director of Golf Operations
After a successful golf career in which Alex earned All-Conference honors at Culver-Stockton College he entered the golf business through the PGA of America’s Professional Golf Management Program. For four years Alex served as the Assistant Golf Professional at Westview Golf Course, a 27-hole facility in Quincy IL. While at Westview Alex also served as the Program Director for the The First Tee and the Head Men’s Golf Coach at Quincy University. Upon the completion of the PGA ’s Professional Golf Management Program Alex accepted the Head Golf Professional position at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence, KS. In 2006 Alex was awarded the "Merchandiser of the Year" for Public Facilities in the Midwest Section. In December of 2006, Alex accepted the position of Director of Golf Operations at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course in Spring Hill, KS. Now in his fifth full season at Sycamore Ridge Alex enjoys managing the operations of the #1 Public Golf Course in Kansas city and looking forward to another great year.
Charlie Pearson
Tournament Coordinator
Charlie joined the Sycamore Ridge Golf Course staff in April 2005. In the autumn of 2006, he started helping with tournament sales, staging and support. His experience continues to contribute to tournament growth at Sycamore Ridge.
A retired regional sales manager for a major global manufacturer/reseller, Charlie worked in sales and marketing positions for 33 years before coming to Sycamore Ridge. He wrote and implemented sales programs and plans, and conducted training on sales prospecting, the sales process and customer satisfaction.
Charlie's experience in sales and marketing and his ability to partner with tournament organizers to conduct successful golf events has proved to be an asset to the Sycamore Ridge team.
Paul Davids, CGCS
Golf Course Superintendent
Paul became a certified golf course superintendent in 2002, receiving his certification from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He has been a member of the association since 1995 and currently serves on the board of directors of the Heart of America Golf Course Superintendents Association.
Paul’s experience dates back to 1993 when he began serving as assistant superintendent at Alvamar Country Club and Alvamar Public Golf Club in Lawrence, Kansas. In 1996, he moved on and up, becoming golf course superintendent at Cedarbrook Golf Club in Iola, Kansas, and Safari Golf course in Chanute, Kansas.
Between 1999 and 2004, he served as golf course superintendent at Colbert Hills Golf Club in Manhattan, Kansas. The club is a PGA Tour Collegiate licensed facility and home of the National First Tee Academy. During his tenure, he helped host the 2003 NCAA Men’s Central Regional Golf Championship and the Ladies 2002 Big 12 Conference Championship.
From 2004 until 2007, Paul was golf course superintendent for Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio. He became golf course superintendent at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course in 2007 and puts all his experience and expertise to work helping to make Sycamore Ridge the best golf course in the Kansas City area.
Dylan Senn
Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Dylan was just 14 when he started his career in golf. That’s when he began caddying out in the Flint Hills of eastern Kansas. The job turned into a passion, and he went on to Kansas State University to pursue a degree in golf course management.
After college, Dylan gained experience in golf course management by serving internships at the Wichita Country Club in Kansas and the Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio. He then brought his newfound knowledge to the Kansas City area, joining the staff of Sycamore Ridge Golf Course in 2007. Now he plies his trade on the best and most beautiful course in his home state.
